Electrical Integrity

The Electrical Integrity crew handles the maintenance, testing, repair and replacement of switchgear; low and medium voltage breakers; grounding systems; life safety, critical research and elevator automatic transfer switches; and large capacity backup generators. The crew supports completion of power studies and reviews labeling for accuracy.

In addition, the crew performs infrared scans at all locations where testing is done, which serves as a non-invasive method for locating "hot spots" such as loose connections, overloading and incorrect cable sizing.

Their work is performed across 325 buildings at University Park and 170 buildings at 22 Commonwealth campus locations.
