Oak Building/Marriott Renewal
Originally designed by Venturi and Rauch Architects and Planners in 1975 as the Penn State Faculty Club, the Oak Building has become an icon of their groundbreaking work in architectural design. The site is adjacent to the Nittany Lion Inn at the corner of North Atherton St. and Park Avenue, State College, PA. It is a wood framed building (Type V-B construction, fully sprinklered) with wood shingle roof and siding. The building will house learning spaces and labs for the School of Hospitality Management. This renovation will include a refresh of interior finishes (approximately 5200 SF), some interior spatial reconfiguration and most notably restore the grandeur of the main two-story space.
Proposers are required to complete Alexander Building Construction Company's Prequalification Form at the time of bid.
