Penn State Berks, Beaver Community Center Expansion

Penn State Berks is planning an approximately 77,000 SF expansion and renovation to the current Beaver Community Center building. The project will also include a pedestrian connection to the Perkins Building, along with an overbuild component to the Perkins building. Program includes kinesiology labs, auxiliary gym, performance gym, multi-purpose space, fitness area, classrooms, locker rooms, offices and a convenience store.  Exterior site utility work will be required.  The project is set to begin construction in February 2020 and will be completed in February 2022. The project will be multiple phased construction; some phases to occur simultaneously.  The owner is also looking to acquire LEED - Silver Certification. DBE participation is requested.
